Just 2 days ago, I saw form the Maxis Web site on the Huawei new android Tablet selling for as low as RM 899 for 24 months, and RM 999 for 12 months. Then today, the promotion item was taken down. RRP is RM 1,599.

A number of the blogger had the screenshot which include the soyacincau, and mobile88, and above screenshot was taken from mobile88.

Finally, Maxis reveal the price of the most awaited HTC Desire Z. It ranging from RM 1,449 to RM 1,649 with RRP at RM 2,299. At the same time, the price of the other 2 not so popular device, which is Motorola DEFY, and Huawei IDEOS U8150 also reveal.

Motorola DEFY price at RM 999 (24 months), RM 1,149 (18 months), and RM 1,299 (12 months).

Huawei IDEOS U8150 price at RM 299 (24 months), RM 399 (18 months), RM 449 (12 months).

Froyo for HTC Legend

Finally, Malaysia HTC Legend user able to upgrade their device to FROYO 2.2. Believe everyone should receive the OTA update, and will update their devices.

Motorola DEFY by Maxis

Latest ANDROID device from Motorola, Motorola DEFY exclusively from Maxis. Unfortunately, Maxis have not official announce it yet, but Motorola already launch it.

Source said, Maxis price will be as low as RM 999, believe it is the 24 months package.

But then, where is the Galaxy S ????

This is exclusive from Digi, so don't wait for Maxis offer, because Maxis will offer only Desire Z with the same price (tomorrow?)

Viewsonic Droidpad MID - ViewPad 7 and View Pad 10

The successful of iPad by Apple, and the GOOGLE OS android have enable the manufacturer to develop MID based on ANDROID. Viewsonic have launch 2 models of the MID, 7" (a common size of the ANDROID MID), and 10" (similar size to the iPad).

HTC Desire HD and Z finally landed to Malaysia

Finally HTC Desire HD and Desire Z had landed to Malaysia. Surprisingly, this round not only Maxis can sell, Digi will offer it as well.

If you are following Maxis and Digi on twitter, and facebook, you can noticed Maxis is offering subscriber to "review" the Desire Z, while Digi website already posted the Desire HD pre-registration.

Does that mean Maxis only offering the Desire Z while Digi offering Desire HD ? We will see later once the pricing and it data plan available from their web site.

Currently, the RRP for both of the model is RM 2,299.

HTC partner with TomTom, and with all it latest devices, HTC will pre-install the TomTom Navigation software, that is cool.

Not sure Malaysia set of DESIRE HD will have this pre-installed ?

Finally, the Samsung Galaxy Tab priced was uploaded to Maxis Web site, along with 2 more Motorola model, which are Motorola CHARM, and Motorola FLIPOUT.

Tidy DVR - IP Camera viewer - FREE

If you have the IP Camera connected to your ISP (Streamyx or P1), and if you have different manufacturer of the IP Camera like me, then it will be good idea to use the Tiny DVR to view all your camera.

This app work on on my Panasonic BL-C20A, and still working on the D-link DCS-920, and the interface is cool, as you only see the video stream only.

for Streamyx, you need to configure NAT, and have an account in dyndns.org since the ip assign by streamyx always changed.

Believe other brand of ip camera also supported.

Got my first ADNROID in Tuesday, and have been using it for few days from now.

Maxis Offer it employee the HTC DESIRE on cheaper price

Maxis is offering it employee the HTC Desire which the RRP is RM 2,199 and the offer is RM 1,499.
It employee can pay one time, RM 1,499 or 12 months salary deduction on RM 125 per months, or 24 months salary deduction on RM 62.50 per months.

Not sure what is the motive, may be the take up rate wasn't that good, and Maxis have lot quantity to commit, so what else, sale at cost price to it staffs.

Anyhow, to the staff, it is still a good deal.

Android Used By More Developers Than Apple

Apple's sizable lead in the world of mobile apps is under attack from Google. Vision Mobile, an analysis and advisory firm, surveyed 401 mobile app developers, and found that developers have more Android experience than Apple iOS.

Visible says Android has passed Apple with developers because Google's developers kit costs less, and because Google has done a good job marketing its open source model. Further, Android phones are selling well now, so there's plenty of customers.

The gap between Apple and Android isn't that great, so Apple should hold its lead in apps for a while to come. And, most developers say they are developing for more than one platform at a time.

Other than Apple and Android, the rest of the mobile platforms are being left behind. Vision Mobile says, "anecdotal developer testimonials suggest that half of Windows Phone MVP developers (valued for their commitment to the platform) carry an iPhone, and would think twice before re-investing in Windows Phone."
